Mic Rogers Will Not Ride Tour de France

Team High Road soon to be Team Columbia revealed today that its Tour team leader Michael Rogers will not be in form to ride the Tour de France.  Mic has been suffering from the effects of Epstein Barr Virus.  The virus is the cause of Mononucleosis (Mono) and chronic fatigue syndrome.  Rogers has had a tough time of it.  Last year, he had to abandon the Tour de France while in contention.  I for one am sad to see another contender missing from the starting line this year.  It may just come down to attrition.  Last contender standing wins the whole thing.  By the way, I am sticking by my prediction that Cadel Evans will win convincingly.  Nobody has given me a good reason why he won’t.

    Hello,

I enjoy reading your cycling blog, keep up the great work!

I recently launched a pro cycling fantasy website. As a leader in cycling
news, I’d like to offer you free participation in my 2008 Tour de France
fantasy game (you could win $60,000 in cash and prizes).

    If interested:

    1. Visit http://www.probikepool.com/
    2. Click on the yellow registration button to create your account
    3. Select the “Expert pool” option and build your fantasy cycling team

The Expert pool option requires a $21 fee paid by paypal.

Do not feel pressured to do so, but if you find the website/concept
interesting, I would greatly appreciate you to posting a review on your
    blog.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the site, and I hope you enjoy your free
    participation. Good luck!

Feel free to email me with any questions.

    Best Regards,
    Carl Grenier
