Yep, That Will Work

I guess the UCI has run out of things to do, and they are feeling a little bored.  They have threatened penalties for riding in non-UCI sanctioned events, but they have no power to actually follow through.  So, out of boredom from lack of duties they decided to suspend the French cycling federation for the rest of 2008.  This basically means that French riders are not sanctioned by the UCI, and that the UCI does not recognize any races organized under the French Federations sanctioning process.  To all this I say, way to go.  You gave France more freedom from your control.  The UCI is a powerless, crybaby organization that can’t believe that they have lost control.  I hope that the UCI is right when they say that ASO is trying to start their own rival cycling federation.  Maybe ASO can get SRAM Rival as a sponsor.  It could be called the SRAM Rival Tour of Real Races.
