Tucker Carlson Calls Bicycling a “Disease”
I was alarmed this morning by a comment from Tucker Carlson, a political commentator here in the United States. Tucker was filling in for Laura Ingraham on her morning radio show and quoted a report by the BBC that 80% of parents in England forbid their kids from riding bikes to school. Then he added his editorial to the mix when he commented:
“I say amen. This will prevent a new generation of road hogging, annoying bicyclists from spreading the disease of bicycle riding.” -Tucker Carlson, MSNBC
I sure hope that Tucker was joking. I think it is ridiculous at this point for anyone to be against riding a bike. There is nothing bad that comes from cycling. Cycling can be the answer to many of America’s problems including obesity, energy, and pollution. For Carlson to speak out against riding bikes is crazy. I for one hope he isn’t invited back to fill in for Laura Ingraham ever again.

Bizarre.
The people I see annoyingly hogging the roads in the UK at rush hour are the drivers of motor vehicles, invariably they’re carrying themselves only, and spend most of their time getting in the way of smaller, lighter traffic (like bicycles).

Tucker Carlson lost his shows(plural) for making ungrounded comments like this. He is a bowtie wearing loser. He and Laura Ingraham should just pack it up and give all the money back to their sponsors, and beg for forgiveness.

Here in America we understand Laura is as much a twit as Tucker. Do not support lunatic fringe.
