Shimano Buys Pearl Izumi
Shimano is jumping into new areas of cycling gear with its recent purchase of Pearl Izumi. Shimano plans to keep Pearl Izumi as a stand alone company based in its current headquarters in Colorado. Shimano will now have a very popular clothing brand to match with its component and shoe business. Pearl Izumi is a relative newbie in the shoe business, but they will continue to pump out shoes under the Pearl Izumi label.
