AP Reports Abritration Decision Against Landis
The AP is reporting that the Arbitration panel in the Floyd Landis case has ruled against Landis with a 2-1 vote. It was just as predicted earlier in the process because of the way the arbitrators are selected. Remember that all arbitrators must come out of a pool of USADA approved arbitrators. Floyd chose one arbitrator, USADA chose another, and those two arbitrators chose the third. The vote reported by the AP shows that Floyd’s arbitrator voted for him while the other two voted against him. More details should come out soon. The USADA site is still not reporting the news. It will be interesting to read the opinion along with any dissenting opinion to find out what criteria the group thought was especially damning.
