TheRoadBike.com Forums?
I have had several requests to add forums on TheRoadBike.com. I have been considering it, but after talking to several people, I have decided against the idea. There are a few reasons for my decision.
First, Only a few readers to this site leave comments to the posts, so I am slightly worried that only a select few of you will post on the forums. Forums need to have a wealth of people posting in order to be successful.
Second, Why try to re-invent the wheel? There are many bike forum sites out there. I created TheRoadBike.com site to post some news, review some product, and let my opinions be heard. I didn’t really start the site to be the ”everything” cycling site. I am not internet traffic selfish, so gathering forum traffic on my site isn’t a huge interest for me.
So, no forums on TheRoadBike.com for now. Maybe, in the future I will reconsider. For now, I have decided to personally frequent the forums at TheFredCast.com. To be honest, it is a little slow going in the forum section over there, but David does a great job with his Podcast. He deserves a little love in his forums. Go over there right now and ask some questions or impart some of your knowledge. Feel free to visit a sponsor or two over there, so that David can continue to produce quality podcasts for our enjoyment.
