Levi Leipheimer to Predictor Lotto- Does that Mean Cadel Evans is Leaving?
Levi Leipheimer has been on alot of different teams. Most recently, he was the team leader for Discovery Channel. Now that Discovery is disbanding, there have been many different rumors as to where Levi will go. Reports today are that he is talking to Predictor Lotto. The question is…….why does Predictor Lotto need another Tour GC guy? They already have the 2nd place winner from the Tour, Cadel Evans…..or do they? My guess is that they are pretty sure that Cadel is leaving the team. There is an upstart team in Austrailia that is attracting all the big Aussie riders. With all the room for new teams to make it into the Tour in 2008, a big name like Cadel could get the new team a spot. This leaves a great opening for Levi at Predictor. Looks like it will be the same guys next year, but they will all be in different colors.
