Team Slipstream Signs World Class Climber

Team Slipstream wants to be included as a wildcard team in the Tour de France as early as next year, and they are making all the right moves to get there.  Today, Slipstream announced that they have signed Irish rider Daniel Martin.  Team director, Jonathan Vaughters said, “[Martin] is a highly sought after U23 talent… We beat the ProTour teams to the punch in signing this hotshot.”  Martin has cycling in his blood.  He is the cousin of Credit Agricole rider Nicolas Roche.  In picking up Martin, Slipstream picks up a great climber.  He recently won the King of the Mountains classification at the Ronde de l’Isard.

Slipstream has come on strong in racing this year.  They have quickly become crowd favorites everywhere they go.  Their trademark argyle jerseys are catchy, and retailers are having a hard time keeping them in-stock.  Look for big things to come from this up and coming team.
